Background

In the past two decades, a relatively short span of time within this century, the world has experienced many remarkable changes in the realms of science, technology, medicine, space and hundreds of other so-called advancements in our nations. Strangely, this century has been seeing more distressing things than any previous century, devastating wars, monstrous new weapons, countless natural disasters and fatal diseases.

We must agree that our generation lives in swirling tides of events, dreams, promises, threats and changing ideas about the present and the future. Certainly our century has been the most politically interesting, bloodiest, the most revolutionary and the most unpredictable of any century in the history. This confluence of strange conditions presses this generation to ask a new, why am I here? What is the purpose of life? Why is life and reality the way they are?

The leaders of our time are bewildered when they are called upon to explain the reason that our world is the way it is or to suggest a direction for the future. Many in positions of public trust confess that they are just trying to keep the lid on, and others have abandoned even that hope. We need competent leaders.

Added to this bleak environment is the painful reality that over the past few decades there seems to have a dramatic leadership vacuum developed throughout the world. In every arena there is an absence of quality, effective leadership. In the political events indicate that previous generations have produced a poor quality of characters who fade in the presence of true leadership and leaves our present generation in the same leadership vacuum.

The recent disgrace and fall of many renowned Christian leaders, exposure of corruption and unethical activities among political leaders and their covert conspiracies of governments betraying their own people is evidence that this lack of quality leadership is affecting every sphere of our lives.

It is in this environment that we as stewards of this present age must face the challenge of identifying, developing, training, realising and reproducing a generation of leaders who would secure the future for our children and their children.Micheal Jack International is designed to contribute to this challenge. It is my hope that you would be inspired to respond to the call of destiny and responsibility, and awaken the potential of leadership within you.
